“How come MUST High School has no address?!?”

1 January 2010 | 2 Comments »

When I found that out, I was incredulous. A high school like MUST and there’s no address? Very strange, I told myself. But, persistent me, I needed to know how that was even possible. And then Eureka! It hit me. Of course! You enter “Address for MUST High School” in Google and you don’t find anything…because…it’s online! How silly of me.

Come to think of it, what’s the big deal about? You are an online high school, like MUST, which provides education entirely over the Internet. How can there possibly by an address? That’s just it. It’s “virtually” impossible. This is simply how they operate. Some high schools offer you nothing but physical attendance, that’s what we are all familiar with. Some offer a mix of online as well as physical attendance. Some like MUST operate entirely over the Internet

So, why do people tend to get all jumpy? The thing is that online education is still a fairly new phenomenon which people are only now starting to get familiar with. It’s but natural to doubt something which is new and which you don’t know much about. That’s exactly what’s happening here.

But rest at ease. Not having an address doesn’t mean that these schools have any shady activities. If you want to contact them, you just have to give them a call and they will attend to your needs. And think about it? If there was anything shady, would thousands new students be enrolling each year? Would their graduates be enrolled in high-paying jobs all over the world? Would employers be jumping to hire these graduates? Think about it.
